Anderson, IN -- QUARTER 4, 2008 -- XADS was awarded a contract worth
$1,100,000 to deliver 20 of its smaller StunStrike Counter-IED systems
to NSWC Crane. The funding was made possible by a Congressional Earmark
through our Congressman, Mike Pence for FY2008 in October, 2007, and we are
pleased that the funding and contract has finally come through to XADS.
The new, modular, "plug-n'-play" C-IED systems have been developed outside
of government funding, through internal R&D over the past few years, and we
are pleased to be able to release these for DoD use, en masse, in the near
future. Already, XADS has found a great deal of interest among several DoD
customers, and we look forward to moving into a large-scale production of
these new products in 2009.
Pete Bitar, President/CEO of XADS said "with this new contract, XADS is able
to answer the demands of the EOD and Counter-IED communities with a product
they can use immediately, particularly as a surge in Afghanistan is
anticipated".
